Carrots contain a lot of beta carotene, which the body converts to vitamin A.  Vitamin A is essential for healthy vision and potential protection of the eye's surface.

Lutein and zeaxanthin are two antioxidants found in spinach, a leafy green food that may help lower the incidence of age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and cataracts. These antioxidants accumulate in the retina.

(3) Fish

Omega-3 fatty acids are abundant in fatty fish, such as salmon, tuna, and mackerel. These good fats are good for the eyes and may help stop dry eyes.

(4) Eggs

Eggs are a good source of zinc, vitamin E, lutein, and zeaxanthin, all of which are necessary for maintaining healthy eyes.

(5) Citrus Fruits

Excellent vitamin C sources include oranges, lemons, and grapefruits. Antioxidant vitamin C has been shown to decrease the deterioration of vision due to ageing and lower the likelihood of acquiring cataracts.
